Welcome to St. Marys Parks & Recreation!
"A Great Place to Live, Work, and PLAY!"
The mission of the City of St. Marys Parks & Recreation Department is to oversee the recreational facilities and sanctioned recreational programs for our community's residents and guests. The Recreation Board is committed to providing leisure time programs and athletic activities geared to participants of all ages and ability levels, while developing and maintaining safe, effective, and aesthetically pleasing facilities that promote a healthy lifestyle and constructive use of leisure time.

By registering or participating in any City of St. Marys Parks & Recreation Department activity or program, you agree to allow the publication of any photo(s) or video(s) taken at the activity, program, or facility. The City of St. Marys, without obligation to provide compensation to those photographed, may use such photographs and videos. Photos and video taken may be used for publication for the City of St. Marys Parks & Recreation Department and how its sponsors deem necessary.
In February of 2022, the St. Marys Recreation Board decided to implement a fee for specific programs and/or activities. The fees collected from these programs will directly benefit those participating in them. We certainly do not want to turn anyone away from joining in our fun, so if there is a family who is truly unable to afford the cost of sending their child to our programs, please contact the Parks & Recreation Office ASAP to discuss options.
Many of the programs that are offered by the City of St. Marys Parks and Recreation Department have a minimum or maximum participant requirement and registration deadlines. If you are interested in attending a program or class, be sure to register early. The City of St. Marys Parks and Recreation Department has a no-refund policy for all programs and rentals not cancelled by the Department; including swimming lessons, pool memberships, special events, etc. If you are no longer able to attend the program you signed up for (especially a summer camp and swimming lesson), please let us know immediately so that we can open a slot for the next person. The department reserves the right to request proof of residency for each family member if misleading information is suspected on a household account, pool membership, etc.
No News is Good News:
When you register for any of our programs, do not wait by the phone to hear from us. You will only hear from us if:
1. The class is full
2. The class is cancelled
3. There is a change in time or day
4. There is a change in the location
If you did not hear from our staff, that means the program is on as scheduled and detailed on RecDesk. You will not be reminded of the program date, time, or location after registration.
